A common question from Christians is "Are you saved?" By saved, they mean saved from a future eternity in Hell--sent there as punishment for diobeying God (sinning).
You may think getting saved is difficult. It's not. Christ died on the cross, shedding his blood to pay the price for all of mankind's sins. We all have sinned, and keep on sinning, in action and thought. By pre-paying the fine for our sins, Christ has enabled us to be forgiven just by repenting of our sins--that's fancy talk for professing (to God) that our sins were wrong and we turn away from them, trying not to sin, and feeling shame when we do.
You don't have to wait for Sunday, go to any specific building, talk to a preacher/priest, or even get baptized to be saved. All you need to do is:
1. Believe that Christ is the Son of God and believe in his Father.
2. Believe that Christ died on the cross to pay the price for all our sins
3. Believe that Christ was resurrected afetr three days and will one day return to start his kingdom on Earth.
4. Accept Christ as your Lord and Savior--your future King who's saved you from Hell--which includes repenting of sin.
It's really that simple.
Yes, you should afterwards be baptized, to profess publicly your choice of Christ. Yes, Christ wants you to study the Bible and witness your faith to others. And yes, Christ would like you to do good works. But those are all things to do AFTER salvation.
Don't put it off any longer. Accept Christ's sacrifice and leadership today--it might be your last chance.
