Are you saved?

Are you saved? By "saved", I mean, saved from Hell.

As we look at the world around us, we can't deny we are marching ever closer to Christ's eventual return. Maybe it'll be this year, maybe it'll be next, maybe it'll be ten years from now. Whenever it is, we can't deny it's closer today than it was yesterday. Are you ready?

You may think getting saved is difficult. It's not. Christ died on the cross, shedding his blood to pay the price for your sins. We all have sinned, and keep on sinning, in action and thought. By pre-paying the fine for our sins, Christ has enabled us to be forgiven just be repenting of our sins--that's fancy talk for professing (to God) that our sins were wrong and we turn away from them.

You don't have to wait for Sunday, go to any specific building, talk to a preacher/priest, or even get baptized. To be saved, all you need to do is:

1. Believe that Christ is the Son of God.
2. Believe that Christ died on the cross to pay the price for all our sins
3. Believe that Christ was resurrected and will one day return to start his kingdom
4. Accept Christ as your Lord and Savior--your future King who's saved you from Hell.

It's really that simple. Yes, you should afterwards be baptized, to profess publicly your choice of Christ. Yes, Christ wants you to study the Bible and witness your faith to others. And yes, Christ would like you to do good works. But those are all things to do AFTER salvation.
Don't put it off any longer. Accept Christ's sacrifice and leadership today--it might be your last chance.

  1. Note: An element missing above is Repentance (turning away from sin and trying not to sin again). If you choose Christ, you are choosing the Son over sin. You're acknowledging that you need saving.

Yes, we must repent, but that is a big part accepting Jesus as tge Christ (savior)
